On the cover: Regulation of metabolic pathways plays a key role in controlling cell growth, proliferation, and survival in all tissues. The enzyme TIGAR acts as a fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase, promoting the pentose phosphate pathway to produce NADPH for antioxidant function and ribose-5-phosphate for nucleotide synthesis. The “eye of the tiger” on the cover shows H&E staining of TIGAR−/− intestinal tissue in an intestinal adenoma model. For more information about TIGAR's role in intestinal regeneration and tumor growth, see Cheung et al., pp. 463–477. Cover art by Pearl Lee. $ x* H6 a2 _, p, N作者: anzhida0823 时间: 2013-6-17 14:29
