/ u" R; ]1 q3 l1 l, RSomatic gene therapy requires the efficient delivery and sustained expression of therapeutic genes into the tissues of a human body. Such an approach has tremendous therapeutic potential for several inherited and acquired diseases. However, several challenges must be met to fulfill these expectations, starting from the development of more efficient, safe and versatile gene transfer tools.
