Target-therapy in CSCs of GBM

there is no doubt that the target therapy for cancer is a hot spot in the field of cancer research , as may target drugs are entering the clinical trials , more and more similar drugs are awaiting for further testing .however ,the target therapy for cancer stem cells (CSCs) is a newer field ,partly due to our limited understanding about the signal pathway related to the CSCs . however , with the development of study , some molecular pathway associated with the self-renewal and differentiation of CSCs have been gradually elucidated , the possibility of specifically targeting these signal pathways to eradicate the CSCs with high efficiency and little side effect was showing gradually . in this literature , the author summarize these signal pathways related to the CSCs of GBM in the form of beautiful graphs and brief description , and present the safety concern about this potential therapeutic way , in a word , it will help us understand the target-therapy against CSCs comprehensively .
