CD338: CD338, known as ABCG2 (BCRP1), is a multi-drug resistance (MDR) family protein that is a member of ATP binding cassette (ABC) transporters. It is highly expressed on primitive ‘sidepopulation’ (SP) stem cells. This SP phenotype is based on the efflux of fluorescent dyes such as Rhodamine 123 and Hoechst 33342. The SP cells express low or undetectable levels of CD34. In the bone marrow, about 0.05% population of cells displays the low fluorescence and are highly enriched for repopulating cells. The highest levels of BCRP1 mRNA expression have been seen in KDR+ human stem cells. The expression of ABCG2 appears to be highly conserved as it has been identified in various species.) y9 L" p& t& T
CD49f: CD49f is a 120 kD integrin family member, also known as VLA-6 α chain and α6 integrin subunit. CD49f associates with either integrin β1 (CD29) or integrin β4 (CD104) to form receptors (VLA-6 or α6β4 complex) for laminin and kalinin. CD49f is expressed on platelets, monocytes, T cells, placental trophoblasts, epithelial and endothelial cells. CD49f is involved in adhesion and can act as a co-stimulatory molecule for T cell activation and proliferation. The GoH3 antibody has been reported to block laminin binding in vitro and to block integrin α6 function in vivo.
. S r5 i/ H7 G! j7 r; o4 ~CD324: The 67A4 antibody recognizes human CD324 also known as E-cadherin, cadherin-1, and UVO. CD324, a member of the cadherin superfamily, is a calcium-dependent, transmembrane cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein composed of 4 extracellular cadherin repeats and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail region with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 100 kD. CD324 is widely expressed in epithelial cells in the colon, uterus, liver, keratinocytes, brain, heart, muscle, kidney, and pancreas, as well as erythroid cells. CD324 functions as a cell adhesion molecule involved in development, bacterial pathogenesis, and tumor invasion. In bacterial pathogenesis, the ectodomain of CD324 mediates bacterial adhesion to mammalian cells, while the cytoplasmic domain is required for internalization. CD324 binds to the αEβ7 integrin to mediate cell adhesion and also interacts with a number of intracellular proteins including including erbin, ezrin, caspase-3, caspase 8, β-catenin, presenilin 1, casein kinase II , as well as other extracellular proteins including the EGF receptor. CD324 is phosphorylated on multiple residues (S857, S866, S870, S872), and can be proteolytically cleaved at reside D769 by caspase-3. The 67A4 antibody has been shown to be useful for flow cytometry.
: n% t" y2 C0 S6 G4 X3 ICD29: CD29 is a 130 kD protein, also known as integrin β1, VLA-β chain, or GPIIa. It is a member of the integrin family, expressed broadly on leukocytes, endothelial cells, smooth muscle, and epithelial cells. In association with CD49a-f, CD29 forms the VLA-1 through VLA-6 complexes, respectively. It plays an important role in cell-cell or cell-matrix interaction. The HMß1-1 antibody reacts with both mouse and rat CD29. It is able to block cell adhesion and inhibit T cell proliferation.

It is a GPI-linked sialoglycoprotein expressed on lymphocytes, granulocytes, epithelial cells, thymocytes, monocytes, erythrocytes, and dendritic cells. CD24 expression varies during T and B cell differentiation and is a useful marker for delineating various lymphocyte developmental stages. CD24 serves as an adhesion or costimulatory molecule involved in T and B lymphocyte activation and differentiation by homophilic binding or binding to CD62P.* T9 b' C9 ]* a9 P4 R" x f. p6 h: d; H
CD9: CD9 is a 24 kD type III transmembrane protein also known as tetraspanin, MRP-1 and DRAP-24. It is a member of the tetraspan family (spanning the membrane four times) found on platelets, B cell progenitors, activated lymphocytes, granulocytes, endothelial cells and epithelial cells. CD9 induces adhesion, platelet aggregation, and B cell development. CD9 has been shown to associate with CD63, CD81, CD82, and CD36 and to bind to β1 integrins.
$ `5 R- E, L& O$ N- QStat3: STAT 3 is an 88 kD member of the STAT (signal transducer and activators of transcription) protein family that is phosphorylated in response to cytokine receptor-associated kinase activity. Phosphorylation of STAT 3 induces nuclear translocation to activate transcription. STAT3 is expressed in brain, heart, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, and pancreas. STAT 3 forms both homo- and heterotrimers and is involved in the activation of genes required for cell growth and apoptosis. STAT 3 is also involved in gp130 signaling and binds to IL-6 response elements in various acute phase protein promoters. STAT 3 is phosphorylated by signaling from IFNs, EGF, FGF, IL-5, HGF, LIF, and BMP2. STAT 3 activity is inhibited by PIAS3 and GRIM-19 and can also be regulated by Rac1 protein. STAT 3 interacts with Rac1, STAT 1, and NCOA1 proteins. The Poly6246 antibody recognizes the C-terminal region of human, mouse, and rat STAT3 and has been shown to be useful for Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunohistochemistry. Nanog: Nanog (Homeo box transcription factor nanog) is a transcription factor, express in embryonic stem (ES) and carcinoma (EC) cells. Nanog binds optimally to the DNA consensus sequence 5'-[CG][GA][CG]C[GC]ATTAN[GC]-3'. When overexpressed, promotes cells to enter into S phase and proliferation. Nanog involved in inner cell mass and embryonic stem (ES) cells proliferation and self-renewal.
