On the cover: Adult somatic stem cells (SSCs) are involved in tissue renewal. On pp. 100–109 of this issue, Ahlqvist et al. show that subtle ROS/redox changes, induced by mtDNA mutagenesis, modulate SSC function and contribute to premature aging-related phenotypes.
