Pluripotent stem cells: Cells able to differentiate into any cell line derived from any of the three embryonic sheets. Cells of the Inner Cell Mass, the embryoblast, and cells of the germinal ridges are pluripotent SCs.

' V9 T$ p  O* @0 H" k  X0 ~是这样划分的吗？胚胎干细胞和成体干细胞的划分是以8周胎龄为界限吧。从受精卵到桑葚胚是全能干细胞，从桑葚胚到8周器官未成形之前叫Pluripotent stem cells，之后的多能干细胞叫Pluripotent stem cells？

! h2 i6 C* J6 S- ]/ O从受精卵到桑葚胚早期的细胞可称为totipotent（常翻译为全能干细胞）。来源于Inner cell mass的细胞为ESC，具有分化为除胚胎外组织（如脐带、胎盘等）的几乎所有细胞，被称为具有pluripotent（多潜能性）生物学特性。其它的干细胞，如来源于胚泡的TS、XEN干细胞，以及成体干细胞，分化潜能有限，多被称为具有multipotent特性，有时也被称为具有unipotent特性。通常pluripotent指胚胎干细胞，multipotent指非胚胎干细胞以外的其它干细胞，也包括成体干细胞。
