Title: Assessment of embryotoxic effects of Nimseulide using embryonic stem cell test

( J0 E4 F8 ^% t9 jAbstract: The study aiming at embryotoxicity evaluation was effective and feasible using three tool drugs, 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), diphenylhydantoin (DPH) and penicillin G (PenG). The embryotoxicity of Nim was carried out based on the established method. The results showed that Nim was a weak embryotoxic substance, indicating that when using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug therapy on pregnancy women and children antipyretic therapy, cautions are needed. In summary, this assay could be used in drug safety assessment research at the early stage of drug development, offering some helpful advice for the novel drug toxicity screening, consequently, the expense, manpower and material resources poured into the new drug research and development could be reduced dramatically. The experimental results revealed that nimesulide, acting as anti-pyretic drug in pediatrics, has a moderate toxicity on embryo at developmental and formation stage.7 s0 G2 k/ P r( E9 `" L. K! X
