The first working group of the Intergovernmental Panel on

This will be the fifth time that the IPCC has delivered such an assessment;3 o x* M' }' A$ \7 i/ Q R# Q
some 23 years have passed since the first effort. Many things& b2 v5 E5 K0 H: [4 K
have changed in that time; others have not. Regardless, it is time to+ X, M+ ?+ f3 t! k! V" |0 s$ e* ?
rethink the IPCC. The organization deserves thanks and respect from
5 C2 U( m7 b1 f# L) B8 Ball who care about the principle of evidence-based policy-making, but
m2 h1 d& N. s( u) r7 sthe current report should be its last mega-assessment.
