miRNA-200c in Breast cancer stem cells

this study reports three differentially expressed microRNA clusters among the Breast cancer stem cells , normal stem cells ,embryonic carcinoma cells and human or mouse mammary stem/ progenitor cells for the first time . another pint worth mentioning is that miR-200c can regulate the expression of Bmi-1 , an important gene implicated in the self-renewal of normal stem cell .moreover , the authors also find that miR-200c can strongly inhibit the ability of normal mammary stem cells to form mammary ducts and tumor formation driven by humanBCSCs in vivo ,which provide a powerful evidence about the relationship between microRNA , cancer stem cells and normal stem cells .
