Abstract
% K) f* j% D! a. D2 z& @3 ?+ k# PThe research on cancer stem cells is a new hot# S! z( a3 @/ ]/ g0 F' z6 s
spot in at present. The hypothesis indicates
1 u) R# V& Z% }# u3 qcancer stem cells, which were possibly the origin1 @$ Z6 Y. v1 \* s3 @5 u8 t% ^
of the cancer, come from normal stem cells. For4 e9 x8 `/ G# P
their special characters, normal stem cells can: {& C& z8 N8 G: t1 o0 a7 P% m
differentiate into tumor cells more easily than
& O3 W9 b# C, e, _2 }; A4 B0 K1 eadult cells. Stem cells transform into malignant
0 Z, i" Z# z5 c/ ycancer stem cells possibly because of gene
a b2 K3 i5 f, S5 L dmutation, abnormal asymmetry and cell fusion.* S2 ]& H- z0 A5 k! d
It is a main method to obtain cancer stem cells by
6 c9 e! M- h; z% d0 _flow cytometer using different protein markers' t& h. |6 d( c" L/ {
and fluorescent probes. It is demonstrated that
5 w) E; [ G: p' J+ q; Ccancer stem cells are very powerful in selfrenewal,4 ^& S" k n( P7 E" L
proliferation, and differentiation.+ f b! c: X8 U! W, ]
Targeting on cancer stem cells, early diagnosis9 F( {! a( P6 v' p
for cancers might be achieved.
