The research on cancer stem cells is a new hot
$ Q" \1 i2 S5 y- j F; pspot in at present. The hypothesis indicates
" a' a9 H% A( ?( A- U% H# n* @2 Rcancer stem cells, which were possibly the origin
0 k) H* |$ }( g8 Rof the cancer, come from normal stem cells. For
$ i0 ^! e3 N" utheir special characters, normal stem cells can6 [# H+ a% k; m
differentiate into tumor cells more easily than
/ T' z' r) f& N4 C kadult cells. Stem cells transform into malignant
! ?) J4 ?! Z/ d& ccancer stem cells possibly because of gene+ C6 b' d; }3 p$ k. \- }
mutation, abnormal asymmetry and cell fusion.
) j/ s$ R- b: c0 z3 iIt is a main method to obtain cancer stem cells by) Q* c' j5 }) a. y
flow cytometer using different protein markers+ J' _, Z2 {( v6 `2 m2 n: [- J1 h
and fluorescent probes. It is demonstrated that
* ?* T" K6 |1 E( ?- Wcancer stem cells are very powerful in selfrenewal,* ^& j; {" ]; u
proliferation, and differentiation.
