The notion that people can learn much from TV program than do books has a huge number of supporters, while some others claim that book is the only way to learn. Contrary to both of them is my heartfelt agreement that so complex is the issue which cannot be know exactly without any analysis in a dialectic perspective.. Y6 `/ p7 P7 B0 B# m# n; B

Primarily, books contend much more information than TV programs. As we all know, all the histories and knowledge was recorded in books so far. The frequent way which people to check out the information is reading books, even the TV programs depend on the knowledge in books. Such as the famous movies are all transcribed books. Paper works are always work in front of TV shows. Even the talk shows can be found the materials from books. So books are much useful than TV program to learn. Therefore, books are the best materials of knowledge.

Furthermore, books can be read many times than TV programs. It is well known the best way to study is to repeat the knowledge. And it is hard for people to follow TV program to study repeatedly. All the TV programs will cast one time at most two times. It is even hard for people to make record of what they have learnt just now. Nevertheless, reading books is the best way to address this problem. People can read books as many times as they like without limited of time. And enough time can help people remember the knowledge and the think about indeed. Thereby books are good ways to study. - i1 q8 z6 U  L7 E5 I% X

People like to watch TV, because the wonderful and colorful pictures are much more attractive then the tedious books. And they do not need to use their minds to imagine the scenes described in books. Nonetheless, the books are so charmless in vision, it cannot shake the stable position of book in study. The TV program cannot live without books consequently, books are more essential than TV programs.9 k' n9 H3 i0 S5 O) q$ q: g

All in all, although there are some disadvantages, books which contend much more knowledge are the best way to learn. Thus people can learn much more from books than TV programs.

Compared to reading books, it is obvious that watching TV is more satisfying to people. 7 X5 S& l& X% \* TIn the first place, TV is more than a tool to help people relax and entertain, it is a useful tool to convey imformation as well. Unlike reading books, getting a large amount of imformation through watching TV takes a much shorter time. For example, people could know the latest economic news from all over the world when watching TV. In addition, when natural disaaters occur, people can see what exactly is going on there. Reading books can never reach this.

In the second place, learning through watching TV is a more acceptable way for people. Technology has been well developed, people can see a great many educational programmes on TV. Students can find types of programmes on different subjects, such as history, geography and science. Compared with reading books, the way TV shows people information or knowlegde is more vivid, intuitionistic and direct. Furthermore, for children, it is no doubt that waching TV is their preference. So educators could take good advantage of this and convey knowledge to children in this way. I believe it is much favored to children of learning though watching TV than letting them sit down in a chair and read books.4 i+ n6 }3 Q" Z* U' l

Who will use Kepler’s Third Law or Coulome’s Law to solve daily life problems? A few days ago I learned from a TV programme that before peeling tomatoes we could put them in hot water for a while, then it would be easier to peel. I tried it today and it proved to be available. However, books never told me this.

In conclusion, to my way of thinking, people can learn more from watching TV than reading books. They can obtain a large amont of information in a short time when watching TV while reading books takes raletively longer time. What’s more, TV will show people more vivid and direct pictures. Therefore, I insist that watching TV is a better way for people to learn.
