This literature is a good example for us to learn how to elucidate the signal transduction study related to CSCs when the effect of some compound possessing potential anti-CSCs activities or special inhibitors targeting CSCs signal transduction were exploited .and the authors have done a lot of work , such as targeting some target gene expression ,carrying out double surface Marker screening ,and making use of animal trials with different models ,all of which in part can substantiate the GSI’s effect on eradicating CSCs of GBM in vivo and in vitro .and after carefully reading this literature ,we can also obtain some useful insights ,namely , finding a drug with potential activity plus conventional chemotherapy or radiotherapy against CSCs would be a feasible strategy to eliminate CSCs effectively .last but not the least , in vitro trial ,the authors didn’t use the suitable cells as the control ,because astrocyte can’t work as the normal stem , moreover , this observation about the side effect in vivo is also somewhat reluctant .anyway ,it is still a good paper worthy our learning .
