prompting early translational studies using progenitor cell therapies. To that end,3 j' t' }+ b$ u) s+ B( n* e
this text explores the unique aspects of neurological injury and focuses on the critical6 }6 I& a: ]6 M$ |1 W6 ?- v
translational issues of cell delivery: routes of administration, types of progenitor1 a5 X& c$ P; U2 s$ N z
cells (alone and/or in combination), timing of delivery, and adjuncts to promote cell% T9 R0 e" ~' n9 v
engraftment/survival/effectiveness. Finally, measuring the effects of transplanted
0 r) N) m7 e; A3 _/ A) \$ ycells and cell tracking is explored in several chapters.

reasonable and well-supported are being re-examined, and this necessarily drives

will begin. The developments in the field may ultimately offer realistic hope for
