目前，关于关于间充质干细胞用于治疗的看法还是各有不同的，有观点认为是间充质干细胞归巢后直接替代了原来损伤的细胞，也有人认为是干细胞归巢后激活了机体自身的休眠细胞使其重新产生生物学机制，另外有观点认为是干细胞的旁分泌机制释放了大量的细胞因子产生的作用。
