; G: \+ w" X, v( z# lcalculations based on an estimated FW of 388).

- j* U% Y) K% G2 h. o The 1000X stock solution is prepared in PBS (alkalinated
5 z' B% r8 t1 e) O, `$ l! Owith NaOH) to give a final stock concentration of 200 mM. {) ^: H2 J J$ u) {. D7 F2 M

Procedure:$ ? _! G/ w- d4 S1 h
% y2 x# Q% e3 `+ z5 Z-- Prepare an intermediary 100 mM stock solution by adding 388 mg 8 @4 s2 }2 P9 w2 u* t
of FIAU to 8 ml of PBS. To get the FIAU completely in solution, add
4 f% c- P# N3 H; J! }2 g' K' a9 l5 N NaOH dropwise until the powder is fully dissolved. Once dissolved,
) D9 l1 G4 e; d+ H; Cbring the volume to 10 ml with PBS. Divide into 1 ml aliquots and store

# a1 p0 o. t# B$ b0 E7 k$ m5 }8 b-- When needed, prepare stocks of 1000X FIAU by adding 100 ml of 5 ]% T- q8 `: f3 ?# p! b5 N
the thawed 100 mM intermediary stock FIAU to 50 ml of PBS. If the
+ Q1 }1 \1 S+ c2 e0 P @FIAU precipitates, add 5 N NaOH dropwise until the FIAU goes back $ b6 _8 P1 d$ L# ^& D: Q
into solution.

-- After mixing, filter sterilize the 1000X FIAU through a 0.2 mm
