0 N2 S) K, f9 A4 M( {' kOn the cover: The nuclear pore complex (NPC; silver mesh) governs the trafficking of macromolecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm in eukaryotes and plays vital roles in myriad physiological processes. A hybrid approach including X-ray crystallography, small-angle X-ray scattering, molecular dynamics simulation, and electron microscopy revealed the structure and conformational dynamics of yeast Nup192 (orange), a major component of the NPC inner ring. Functional experiments suggest a role for Nup192 in modulating the permeability of the NPC's central channel.
