The research on cancer stem cells is a new hot* N0 L2 k) W* b1 V
spot in at present. The hypothesis indicates( n+ \& C7 Y$ A& g
cancer stem cells, which were possibly the origin
* S9 J8 u+ f p! |& t. jof the cancer, come from normal stem cells. For
: D2 ^* b7 G1 t% s5 Ttheir special characters, normal stem cells can
$ P( B9 k: T: i2 G+ X8 Q) P! bdifferentiate into tumor cells more easily than
9 P5 d3 ]5 u/ p% Y3 M" I$ C; Z% a0 Gadult cells. Stem cells transform into malignant
& U- s& O+ w% I4 Y8 Vcancer stem cells possibly because of gene7 N2 t: f! T/ ?/ A- Z( W
mutation, abnormal asymmetry and cell fusion.
/ ~' U* A$ v+ r' { PIt is a main method to obtain cancer stem cells by
4 @+ ]: m7 M- ]) u _; Yflow cytometer using different protein markers1 ^6 {6 y$ ?+ z8 b0 d
and fluorescent probes. It is demonstrated that6 ^! k! D# S" D2 Q' H
cancer stem cells are very powerful in selfrenewal,( P7 Q* d0 b4 v0 Q2 b9 W' E
proliferation, and differentiation.' Q/ V% f7 M) ^1 C# P, L5 }
Targeting on cancer stem cells, early diagnosis2 G/ f0 [( G% L. L. \3 ^& a1 X
for cancers might be achieved.
